The debt of the Spanish families for the housing acquisition reached 534.184 million euros in July, what supposes a rise of 22,8 % with regard to the same period of the previous year, according to the last information of the Spanish Bank. This growth is the lowest from 2003, year in that the debt of the hearths for the housing buy increased 21,6 % in interannual valuation. In 2004, the increase was 23,7 %, percentage that repuntó up to 24,3 % last year.

The Bank of confirmed Españaha that the Euribor, the principal indicator to fix the price of the mortgage loans, was located in August in 3,615 per cent, the highest level from July, 2002.
The Euribor has come at this level after having raised 1,392 points in the last twelve months, what in practice will suppose an increase of more than 83 euros for the monthly quota of an average mortgage for 120.000 euros with a pay-off period of 20 years.
